This 1/35 scale plastic model represents the German s.10cm K.18 heavy gun, offered as a display-oriented medium-artillery subject aimed at experienced modellers and collectors.
Real-world background: The 15 cm s.F.H.18 howitzer developed from earlier World War I designs such as the s.F.H.13, and the split-trail carriage concept was later adapted to a 105 mm barrel to create the 10 cm s.K.18 heavy gun. Both guns served as principal medium artillery in German artillery battalions. Published reference figures list the s.F.H.18 with a maximum range near 13,370 meters and muzzle velocity around 520 m/s, while the s.K.18 is recorded with a maximum range near 19,000 meters and a muzzle velocity of about 835 m/s.
Kit details and build notes: The kit combines injection-moulded plastic parts with metal components to improve finish and dimensional stability on critical elements. A turned aluminum gun barrel and brass tube provide an accurate bore and external profile, reducing filler needs at the muzzle. A metal tow chain and two thick rubber rims are supplied for realistic carriage and wheel detail. Decals depict German army field-grey camouflage. The kit is supplied unpainted and requires standard modelling tools, adhesives and paints.
A faithful 1/35 scale exterior representation of a medium artillery piece built from a mix of injection-moulded plastic and metal components; the kit prioritises external accuracy and display presentation for hobbyists and collectors.
