This kit reproduces the PT-76B as a 1/35 scale plastic assembly, targeted at scale modelers interested in Cold War light armored vehicles. It emphasises accurate external detail and conventional subassembly construction.
The original PT-76 was developed in the Soviet Union as a light amphibious reconnaissance and infantry-support tank from the early 1950s. It used a welded aluminium hull for reduced weight, mounted a 76mm main gun, and supported amphibious operations without special preparation. The design served widely with Warsaw Pact and allied forces, used primarily for reconnaissance, river crossings and light transport. Its drawbacks included relatively light armour protection and limited crew survivability compared with contemporary main battle tanks.
This version provides Polish Marine Brigade markings on the decal sheet for vehicle number 4607 and monocolor camouflage. Key kit features include a slide-molded lower hull and separate upper hull components to aid fit and detail.
