This GPM XO012 front gearbox is CNC oriented and machined from 6061 T6 aluminum to balance low weight with high torsional strength. The anodized surface adds a scratch-resistant layer to help the part hold up under frequent track use and aggressive setups.

What tools do I need to fit the GPM XO012 gearbox?

Basic metric hex drivers and a torque-aware driver are recommended. A 1.5mm to 2.5mm hex set will cover the stainless screws supplied in the packing list.

Does the aluminum gearbox change weight balance?

Machined 6061 T6 reduces some bulk compared with cast parts, which can slightly alter front-end weight. Expect a minor change that often improves steering precision on hard surfaces.

Any maintenance tips to extend service life?

Keep fasteners torqued to spec, inspect for play after heavy runs, and avoid corrosive cleaners on the anodized finish. Regular checks of mating gears and bearings will prevent premature wear.
