XO-1 Aluminium Sub-chassis Plate

This aluminium sub-chassis is an aftermarket hop-up for TRAXXAS XO-1 scale RC cars, keeping the original mounting layout while swapping the factory plate for a 5mm aluminium unit to change chassis stiffness and mass distribution.

The plate is supplied as a single pcs set and is aimed at hobbyists performing chassis tuning and setup work. It gives a stiffer platform under the main chassis to influence handling balance in cornering and braking without needing changes to servo, ESC, or other drivetrain components.

Installation notes: the part uses XO-1 mounting points and common button head screws for attachment; follow existing chassis fastener locations and apply hobby-standard torque. After fitting, inspect alignment and clearances around the motor and suspension to avoid interference during full travel.

Will this plate bolt straight onto a standard XO-1 frame?

Yes. It is made to use the XO-1 mounting points so it typically fits without modification on stock chassis layouts.

How does the 5mm thickness change handling feel?

A thicker plate increases torsional stiffness which can reduce flex under load and shift corner entry and mid-corner balance, so retune springs and damping as needed.
