Heavy-duty stainless servo tie rod for X-MAXX

The GPM TXM024ASN is an aftermarket stainless steel servo tie rod assembly supplied for TRAXXAS X-MAXX platforms, made to pair with the #2085x metal-gear servo. The kit combines a corrosion-resistant steel steering link and a stiffer servo saver spring to reduce play between the servo output and the steering linkage, helping deliver crisper steering on large-scale monster trucks.

Installation note: this kit is built to work with metal-gear servos from the #2085x family and should not be used with standard plastic-gear servos. Verify the servo horn fit and linkage geometry before final assembly, and ensure the included screw lengths match your servo horn mounting pattern.

Tuning role: upgrade to this tie rod and heavier spring when you want firmer servo feedback and steadier return on high-torque or boosted-voltage setups; using the correct servo will reduce slop and help keep wheel angle consistent under load.

No. The TXM024ASN is intended for use with #2085x metal-gear servos; plastic-gear servos may not accept the hardware or withstand the added loads.
Basic hand tools are sufficient: hex drivers for the supplied 3x16 screws and pliers to position the spring and link ends. Check screw fit to your servo horn before tightening.
Yes. The steel link and firmer servo saver spring reduce flex and improve feedback, which is useful on high-torque or higher-voltage setups.
