L-shape piggyback dampers built for X-MAXX performance

This kit supplies aluminum L-shape piggyback damper components designed for TRAXXAS X-MAXX use, intended to upgrade internal damper pieces while keeping your original shock bodies in service. The layout increases internal oil volume via a piggyback reservoir and includes anti-leak details to help retain oil through long travel cycles.

Important: this kit requires the original shock body from your X-MAXX shocks; these parts are not a full sealed shock and must be used with factory shock tubes and end caps.

The upgrade replaces the standard shaft with a thicker 7mm stainless steel rod to improve stiffness under heavy loads, while the piggyback housing uses aluminum to balance added capacity and structural support without excessive weight. Included spring options are a 6mm green coil and a 2.8mm orange coil so you can start tuning immediately.

Sold as a front and rear compatible set, these L-shape piggyback dampers use the same geometry at both ends of the X-MAXX chassis. When fitting, inspect seals and shock caps and reuse factory hardware where it maintains proper fit and sealing.

Fit these components to original X-MAXX shock bodies to gain extra oil capacity and the benefit of a stiffer 7mm shaft; fine tune spring placement and oil viscosity for the terrain you run on.
