These aftermarket shock caps are made for TRAXXAS Unlimited Desert Racer platforms and prioritize durable material and easier service access. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the caps replace the factory top caps and are designed to work with stock shock bodies and GPM aftermarket shocks.

Design highlights include integrated bladders that enhance sealing and longevity, a bleeder hole to simplify pressure adjustments and fluid servicing, and a pivot ball interface to maintain smooth articulation at the damper top. The set is intended as a direct top-of-damper replacement using the existing mounting points.

Installation notes: remove the shock from the arm or tower to reach the top cap, contain or drain shock oil before opening, swap the factory cap for the alloy cap and fit the supplied bladder, then reassemble and verify there are no leaks at the bleeder port. Basic shock rebuild experience is recommended to ensure correct seal orientation and oil level.

Tuning role: these caps do not change internal valving but can improve sealing consistency under repeated use, and the pivot ball mounting can subtly refine shock articulation through travel. Use them as a maintenance or durability upgrade rather than a primary valving change.
