This aluminium piggy back front damper set is built as an aftermarket hop-up for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER chassis. The kit increases front oil capacity and structural stiffness to deliver steadier damping and improved balance over rough, high-speed desert terrain.

The damper bodies are machined from 6061 T6 aluminium and use tight sealing to help prevent oil leakage. They accept higher-viscosity suspension oils for stronger damping control. Shafts are enlarged to 5mm to resist bending under heavy loads, and the L-shape reservoir lengthens oil travel to smooth rebound and compression transitions. Supplied coil springs are thicker than stock to raise the spring rate, while original springs remain compatible for a softer setup if required.

Installation notes: these are front shocks sized at 135mm designed to replace standard front units on the stated TRAXXAS platform. Basic shock disassembly and bleeding are required to install and fill with oil; make sure seals are seated correctly and fasteners torqued to avoid leaks. Adjust spring rate and oil weight to match your running surface and desired rebound behavior.
