Front steering turnbuckles for TRAXXAS UDR

This is an RC front steering turnbuckle set made for TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER users under model UDR162SA. The components help the knuckle arms achieve full steering travel using adjustable threaded tie rods with ballend connections that suit the original steering geometry.

Materials and function: the turnbuckles are formed from 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and stiffness; lengths are changed by rotating the body clockwise or counterclockwise, and the angled ballends are profiled to seat in the factory steering knuckles. The hardware preserves steering geometry while allowing incremental toe and alignment adjustments.

Included items and fit: this 6 pcs front linkage set for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER platform contains 2 stainless steel turnbuckles, 2 stainless steel round head screws 3x20, and 2 stainless steel round head screws 3x16. Fit the supplied screws where original mounting holes accept those sizes.

Installation and tuning notes: mount the turnbuckles between the bellcrank or servo linkage and the steering knuckles, clip the ballends into the knuckle and bellcrank, then equalise initial lengths on both sides. Fine tune toe and steering trim by rotating the turnbuckle bodies, check the steering throw for binding, and re-torque screws after a few runs.
