Aluminium gearbox skid protector

This aluminium bottom protector is an RC-scale accessory made for the TRAXXAS TRX4 trail crawler platform. It fastens to the underside of the front and rear gearboxes to reduce abrasion and blunt impacts from sand, gravel and rocks you meet on trail runs.

The component uses lightweight aluminium to deliver protection with minimal weight gain. The low-profile shape keeps ground clearance and allows normal suspension travel while shielding gearbox surfaces from repeated contact on rough ground.

Fitting is straightforward for experienced hobbyists: the plate aligns with the gearbox lower face and secures using the vehicle's underside mounting points. Its purpose is protective rather than tuning-related, so you can focus setup efforts on suspension and tyres while lowering the risk of gearbox damage during hard trail use.
