This RC-scale V8 LS3 style engine radiator is built as a visual and thermal-management accessory for the TRAXXAS TRX-4 Defender. The assembly pairs an aluminium main body with stainless steel fittings and a black, heat-resistant ABS cover and exhaust, and it includes a high-speed cooling fan with an integrated welded temperature sensor that switches automatically.
Installation notes: the unit measures 52mm x 63mm x 71mm and is intended to sit in the motor area. Fitting to a TRX-4 Defender normally requires removing the stock manifold to clear the intake, and trimming the crossbar on the original body post to line up the intake pipe. On front-engine conversions the radiator can be mounted to the standard damper mount and fender, though a flat-style front damper mount such as TRX4028 or a similar flat mount may be needed to clear both manifolds.
Thermal behaviour: the welded temperature sensor activates the fan at about 35C and resets near 25C with a tolerance of +/-5C, and the fan provides up to approximately 3.25 CFM airflow (+/-10%). The sensor is integrated with the fan assembly for a single switching unit.
This radiator keeps a scale V8 look while adding active cooling for TRX-4 Defender trail rigs; check clearance and plan for manifold or damper mount changes before final installation.
