Center gearbox skid plate

This aluminum center gear box bottom protector is a scale RC accessory designed for the TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler platform, sold as a 2pcs set. It is formed from lightweight aluminum to minimise added mass while giving a flat, protective surface beneath the center gearbox to reduce sand and small-rock intrusion and to spread impact forces away from the gearbox housing.

The part includes a single stainless steel flat head screw 3x14 for fitment. The protector face has positioning holes aligned with the upper main shaft screw locations so the main shaft can be removed or refitted without taking the protector off, simplifying trail-side maintenance and reducing teardown time.

The finish is a durable, scratch-resistant coating intended to stand up to normal trail abrasion; rinse away grit after runs and check mounting threads before each session. This mount is intended to protect the gearbox and is not a gearing or drivetrain tuning part, suitable for scale off-road crawling only.

Parts are very nice. Fit very well. Easy to install. But screws are sometimes to short. And piece was not drilled and tapped deep enough. But overall excellent workmanship. Your shipping leaves a lot to be desired. And it seems tha you got a little confus

Will this plate fit the stock TRX4 gearbox without mods?

Yes. It is designed to mount to the TRX4 Trail Crawler center gearbox area using the factory mounting points and should not require changes to gearbox geometry.

Does the protector block access to the main shaft?

No. The positioning holes align with the upper main shaft screws so you can access those fasteners without removing the protector.

What hardware is included with the mount?

The package includes two protector plates and one stainless steel flat head screw 3x14 for initial fitment; additional factory screws are used as required for full installation.
