Locked-spur 7075 alloy adapter for low-CG drivetrains

This aftermarket adapter converts the SLASH 4X4 LOW-CG drivetrain into a locked-spur setup. Machined from 7075 aluminium with a hollow profile, the unit lowers rotating mass while providing a secure mounting point for the supplied steel 32 pitch 56T spur and matching 17T motor gear. The assembly removes differential action so torque is routed directly to the driven wheels, a common choice for straight-line tuning in 1/10 on-road and off-road drag applications.

Fitting is a gearbox-level change: remove the stock spur adapter, slide the 7075 adapter onto the shaft, fit the 56T steel spur and align the 17T motor gear, then secure with the supplied screw shaft and lock nut. Check final gear mesh, endplay and bearing preload to avoid premature wear and confirm correct motor pinion engagement before running.
