Low center of gravity dampers with rally tyres for Slash 4x4

This four-piece kit replaces the factory suspension parts on specified Traxxas Slash 4x4 models to lower the centre of gravity and improve stability at speed. The aluminium shock bodies are matched to low-clearance tyres to reduce roll and keep the chassis tracking truer on flat and mixed surfaces.

The dampers use a larger 13.8mm shock body and a thicker 4mm shock shaft; coil springs gain a small length increase versus the baseline. Those changes raise oil capacity and broaden spring seating options, improving mid-speed compliance and producing more consistent damping over small bumps.

Hardware included allows ride height and preload adjustment: 4mm and 5mm aluminium shims, hex converters and lock nuts, plus Delrin collars and stainless button-head screws to secure the assembly. Use the 12-17 hex converters to match the existing wheel hex pattern on Slash 4x4 models and the shims to set initial spring preload.

Installation notes: intended for hobbyists comfortable with basic suspension disassembly; check thread engagement when swapping fasteners and re-align wheels after fitting the kit. Tuning tip: begin with modest preload and two 4mm shims front and rear, then fine-tune spring preload and damping to correct understeer or oversteer for your run surface.
