This kit supplies a low-center aluminium gear adapter combined with hardened steel 32 pitch spur and motor gears for the TRAXXAS Slash 4X4 Low-CG setup. The aluminium adapter stabilizes the gearbox mounting while the steel 56T spur and 17T pinion improve durability at the gear interface for typical hobby running and tuning.

Installation notes: this adapter replaces the OEM plastic adapter on the 68086-21 version and mounts the 56T spur to keep proper mesh with the motor pinion. After fitting, check backlash, confirm pinion height and add shims as needed to avoid binding, then ensure clearance to the chassis to preserve the Low-CG arrangement.

Tuning guidance: changing the pinion alters final drive and throttle response. The included 56T spur and 17T motor gear give one defined ratio option while the hardened-steel gears resist wear when you try different pinions for track or casual bashing.
