Slash 4x4 replacement drive hex

This replacement drive hex is intended for TRAXXAS Slash 4x4 setups that use SSLA1277RH or SSLA1280FH drive shafts. The package contains 2 pcs suitable for swapping worn hexes or keeping a spare set for track-side repairs.

Fit and function: the part is sized to interface directly with the listed shaft codes, restoring the connection between the wheel hub and drive shaft. Check existing hub clearance and re-use the original retaining hardware when possible to preserve alignment and preload on bearings.

Installation notes: remove the wheel and hub assembly to replace the hex, confirm axial seating on the shaft, and verify wheel centring after refit. Small adjustments to wheel offset or hex seating can affect drivetrain behaviour, so re-check slipper or differential settings after replacement if applicable.

Tuning role: swapping to fresh drive hexes is a maintenance task that helps eliminate play at the hub, maintaining consistent wheel engagement during acceleration and cornering, which supports predictable handling during practice or race sessions.

Yet another fantastic set of parts from GPM Iv really been able to have a lot of fun upgrading essentially everything on my new rustler. The parts are so accurate are smooth and immaculate. Great shipping too and well packaged
You get two drive hexes intended as direct replacements for the specified shaft interfaces so you can swap both sides or carry a spare.
Inspect the existing drive shaft for the stamped or printed code; SSLA1277RH and SSLA1280FH should match the engraving or parts list from your kit.
Fresh hexes reduce hub play and can improve consistency. After fitting, check wheel centring and re-tune slipper or diff settings if you notice any change.
