Low centre of gravity upgrade for Slash 1/10 4x4

This aftermarket set is an RC-scale upgrade made for TRAXXAS Slash platforms, pairing shortened aluminium shocks with reinforced drivetrain parts and a wider track stance to support a lower centre of gravity setup. The kit includes matched front and rear shocks, hardened steel #45 axle components, spring-steel hex wideners, rubber tyres on plastic rims, plus collars and fasteners to help adjust geometry and maintain body clearance.

Supplied shock lengths are 75mm at the front and 80mm at the rear, allowing the chassis to sit closer to the surface when installed. Two spring thicknesses are provided to tune compression and ride height: gold springs at 2.6mm and silver springs at 2.2mm. You can change stiffness by swapping springs or altering top-screw preload. The CVD drives use hardened steel #45 internals with 6061-T6 aluminium bodies for a balance of strength and weight.

Track widening is achieved with spring-steel hex wideners that add 3mm per side (6mm total) to wheel offset, improving lateral stability on flat, high-speed runs. The supplied rubber tyres on plastic rims deliver predictable grip and steering feedback. Note this is an aftermarket accessory intended for model use only.

Lowering the body with these shocks reduces shell-to-tire clearance; aluminium collars are included to space the body posts from the shock mount and set shock angle. Recommended collar setups from the source are: at maximum body height use 8mm front and 12mm rear collars, and at minimum body height use 12mm front and 16mm rear collars to prevent shell interference.
