Low-CG aluminum shock upgrade for Rustler VXL

This upgrade set replaces stock front and rear dampers with shorter aluminum-bodied shock units supplied for TRAXXAS platforms, offered as a 44pcs kit that lowers roll center and improves on-flat handling. The package includes front and rear shocks, multiple spring lengths and collars, plus the mounting hardware needed to tune ride height and damping without cutting or modifying the chassis.

Adjust preload by turning the top spring retainer or swap the included springs to change spring rate. The kit provides two wire thicknesses: thicker gold springs at 2.6mm and silver springs at 2.2mm, which help dial in stability for faster runs on smooth surfaces. As measured, assembled lengths are front 75mm and rear 80mm to reduce ride height; some setups can achieve a body clearance near 6mm.

When installing on Slash variants, the lowered stance can make the body sit closer to the tyres; the kit supplies aluminum collars to space the body posts away from the shock mounts. Use different collar thicknesses to refine shock angle and clearance: as a guideline, at taller body positions use front 8mm and rear 12mm collars, and at the lowest positions try front 12mm and rear 16mm.
