Aftermarket shock springs for MAXX

This kit provides four spare shock springs made for the TRAXXAS MAXX platform as an aftermarket replacement, model TXMSF/R/SPA. Two contrasting finishes offer a visual cue and practical option for front or rear damper swaps.

Made from spring steel for reliable compression and impact resistance in typical RC suspension use. The pack contains 2 gold springs and 2 silver springs sized for standard MAXX damper assemblies.

Measured details from the source: both gold and silver springs have a free length of 85mm. The gold springs list an outer diameter of 27.2mm with 2.1mm coil thickness, while the silver springs show an outer diameter of 26.8mm with 1.9mm coil thickness. Inner diameter is 23mm for both, which affects spring rate and preload compared with some originals.

Fitting and setup: these springs mount onto common RC shock bodies for front or rear positions. Preload is adjusted by turning the shock top cap to change effective spring compression; use the different coil thicknesses to tune ride height and firmness for varied off-road surfaces.
