This aftermarket battery hold-down kit replaces the factory retaining strap and is made to secure battery packs on TRAXXAS HOSS 4X4 VXL vehicles. The main plate and stabilizer are machined from aluminum 6061 T6 to limit pack movement during high-speed runs and to increase the surface area for passive cooling.

The set contains a primary hold-down plate and a stabilizer that locate above the battery, plus a stainless steel M3 top threaded screw for assembly. The patterned aluminium face promotes airflow against the pack while the stabilizer reduces lateral shift when landing jumps or charging through corners. This component focuses on mechanical retention and thermal assistance rather than electrical or chassis changes.

Fitting is straightforward for experienced builders: remove the stock strap or clip, place the aluminium hold-down over the pack, line up with the existing mounting point, and tighten using the supplied M3 screw. Use standard hex drivers and verify thread engagement and torque to avoid stripping the screw or chassis threads.
