Heavy-Duty Motor Mount for TRAXXAS FUNCO PRO (8S)

This aftermarket motor base is a CNC-style upgrade for 1/6 TRAXXAS Funco Pro and compatible XRT models configured for 8S systems. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminium, the alloy plate reduces flex versus stock plastic and focuses on improving motor retention and true alignment for large-diameter, high-current motors.

The rear fixation adopts a bundled tension adjustment arrangement to keep axial pressure stable under load, while the side fastener locations feature a V-step relief to resist backing out from vibration. The mount accepts 56mm outer-diameter high-power motors and lists HobbyWing 5687/5690/56118 and Castle 2028 as example fits in the manufacturer notes. This unit replaces the plastic gear protection cover, so pair it with a suitably large gear protection cover (supports up to a 28T/1.5 modulus motor gear) to complete the installation.

All listed fastening hardware is supplied and partly pre-assembled; use a medium-strength thread locker during final installation to ensure long-term clamping security. The design targets reinforced, adjustable motor fixing for 8S performance on 1/6-scale sand car platforms.
