Alloy centre gear housing for T-Maxx reinforcement

This TMX1038 alloy centre gear box is an aftermarket replacement for TRAXXAS 1/10 T-Maxx models, supplied as a single kit that includes mounting screws and collars. It is a direct metal upgrade to replace the stock plastic centre gearbox, delivering a firmer, more wear-resistant centre driveline without changing chassis geometry.

Designed for scale RC use, the part focuses on improving long-term reliability in the centre driveline assembly. Installation requires basic disassembly of the centre diff and driveline housings, and the unit is compatible with standard T-Maxx centre gear arrangements found on stock 1/10 platforms.

Specifications

  • Item Alloy centre gear box with screws and collars
  • Material Alloy
  • Model Number TMX1038
  • Compatibility TRAXXAS 1/10 T-Maxx

Use this alloy centre gear box to cut centre driveline flex and slow wear; always check fitment with your existing diff housings before final assembly and service mating gears and bearings with light grease for best longevity.

The kit contains the alloy centre gear box assembly plus the supplied mounting screws and collars required for installation.
It is made to match standard TRAXXAS 1/10 T-Maxx centre gear arrangements, but verify mounting points and seal faces on your chassis during a trial fit.
Basic RC tools such as hex drivers and a small wrench for collars are sufficient; take care not to over-torque fasteners to avoid thread damage.
No additional machining should be necessary for standard assemblies, but check alignment and clearances when trial fitting to confirm smooth operation.
Inspect for play regularly, keep gear faces lightly greased, and ensure screws remain properly torqued to maintain alignment and wear resistance.
