Installation-friendly 3mm orange LEDs for TLU-01

This is an RC-scale LED accessory made to work with the Tamiya TLU-01 radio lighting system. The set includes small 3mm orange LEDs on long leads so you can add indicator or marker lighting to scale models and wire directly into the transmitter lighting outputs.

The lamps are intended as low-profile indicators or panel lights for scale RC models, suitable for signal, marker or decorative use where compact 3mm LEDs are appropriate. The exposed wiring on the supplied leads allows routing through bodywork or lamp buckets and connection to the lighting outputs of the compatible control unit.

Compatibility

For use with TLU-01, referenced as OP.912 OP-912 in product listings; intended to be connected to the matching Tamiya lighting/control unit and its harness outputs.

How do I wire these LEDs to a TLU-01 unit?

Strip the ends of the 16" leads and connect them to the appropriate lighting output on the TLU-01 harness, observing polarity. Secure connections with solder or appropriate connectors to prevent disconnection.

Can these 3mm LEDs serve as turn indicators with the TLU-01?

Yes. When wired to the TLU-01 lighting outputs they function as small indicator or marker lamps; the lighting unit controls determine flash or steady operation.

What is the recommended mounting method?

Fit the 3mm LED into a panel hole or lamp bucket and route the 16" leads back to the lighting unit. Use cable ties or adhesive clips to secure wiring and avoid chafing.
