The alloy hex replaces common plastic pieces to provide a firmer wheel interface and improved resistance to wear during repeated wheel changes and rough off-road use.
Before installation confirm the Promoto-MX fork output and axle hardware match the hex dimensions. Typical fitting requires wheel removal, seating the aluminum hex on the hub or axle end, and reusing the original retaining screw or nut; no extra tools are included. The stronger construction helps limit deformation under load and maintain consistent wheel alignment, which can influence handling on loose dirt.
As a simple hop-up, this hub hex improves wheel retention and can slightly alter steering feel by removing play at the wheel joint. It is sold for RC hobby use only and is not intended for full-size vehicle applications.
