This aluminium servo saver and tie rod set is made specifically for the Tamiya TT-02 and TT-02B chassis, swapping fragile plastic pieces for anodised metal parts to firm up steering response.
Built around a 25T servo spline, the saver is compatible with standard hobby servos and the aluminium tie rods lower flex at connection points compared with injection-moulded components, helping maintain consistent steering under load.
Installation is aimed at experienced builders: remove the stock saver and rods, fit the aluminium saver onto the servo output ensuring spline alignment, then attach the tie rods to the steering knuckles and servo horn with the original hardware. Centre the servo and adjust rod length incrementally to balance toe and neutral steering.
Tuning tip: this kit increases mechanical stiffness rather than altering electronics. Expect crisper feedback but confirm servo centring and travel to avoid binding, and apply thread-lock on metal-to-metal fasteners where appropriate.
