Aluminium steering upgrade for TT-02

This alloy steering assembly is an aftermarket replacement set designed for the Tamiya TT-02 RC chassis, delivered as model TT2048. It swaps the stock plastic linkages for metal components to cut down on flex and slow wear during regular hobby running. The kit is sold as a single set suited to repair or tune the front steering on hobby-scale cars.

Fitting usually requires removing the original plastic steering pieces from the TT-02 steering knuckles and the servo horn, re-using any ball studs and linkage hardware where compatible, and installing the alloy parts in their place. Basic front-end disassembly is needed; test-fit all parts before final tightening to avoid binding. This component is intended only for scale RC models.

The upgrade targets steering feel and durability without altering suspension geometry. Many hobbyists fit alloy steering to get a firmer, more consistent response for track tuning and regular running, while keeping an eye on servo load and any potential binding after installation.

It is made for the TT-02 steering layout, but check your chassis variant for matching knuckle and servo horn locations before fitting to ensure correct geometry.
Metal linkages are generally stiffer and more wear resistant than stock plastic parts, which can extend service life under normal hobby use.
After installation, verify free movement across the steering range and confirm the servo does not bind; adjust tie-rod length or servo horn position if required.
