Deck function and compatibility

This graphite upper deck is an aftermarket top plate made by 3Racing for use on the Tamiya TRF 416 chassis, sold under part number 416-07/WO. It is supplied as a direct-fit replacement so the main chassis layout and factory mounting points are retained.

Graphite raises the stiffness of the top deck compared with standard composite plates, which changes how loads transfer between the front and rear. In practice this tends to sharpen steering feel and alter mid-corner balance, so racers use it to fine tune handling for faster on-road setups.

Fitment is straightforward for experienced model builders: remove the stock upper deck with the original fasteners, check that servo, ESC and motor clear the new plate, then refit using the existing screw positions. Confirm clearances, torque hardware to your normal settings, and perform controlled test runs to evaluate setup changes.
