This front shock tower is a hop-up replacement intended for the TAMIYA TRF 416 chassis. Supplied as a direct-fit part, the 416-15/WO is moulded from graphite to change front-end stiffness and introduce alternate shock mounting geometry suited to 1/10 on-road track setups.
Installation uses the original mounting holes and hardware so chassis geometry remains the same except for the different material stiffness and the added shock positions. Because it is made for the TRF 416, no chassis modification is required beyond removing the stock tower and fitting the replacement.
On the track, a graphite tower shifts the balance between flex and rigidity at the nose, affecting turn-in and transient response. Make small changes to shock eyelet position and spring/damper settings while checking wheel alignment and ride height after fitting to dial in predictable handling.
