TRF 416 Diff Spring Overview

This 3Racing replacement spring is made to fit the TRF 416 differential assembly as a direct-fit RC upgrade. It acts as the internal spring that defines initial diff preload and alters torque transfer between left and right wheels.

Fitting is simple for anyone comfortable with TRF 416 diff service: open the diff case, swap the stock spring for the 3Racing 416-10C unit, then reassemble using the original shims and bearings. Only common RC maintenance tools are needed.

From a setup perspective, the spring sets the baseline preload prior to choosing diff oil or adding clutch plates. A stiffer spring increases preload, tightening initial engagement and reducing slip under light throttle, while a softer spring reduces preload and permits more differential movement. Work through small changes on the track to balance turn-in, traction and throttle response for a 1/10 touring car.
