Alloy heat sink plate for Tracktor gearboxes

This RC-scale aluminium alloy heat sink plate is made to bolt to the gearbox housing on Tamiya Tracktor trucks and is supplied as a pair. The finned profile increases exposed surface area to help dissipate heat passively from the gearbox during extended indoor or outdoor running sessions.

The item is a thermal management accessory and not a substitute for routine gearbox service. It secures to the original gearbox mounting points and is intended to be used alongside regular checks such as gear mesh verification and bearing inspection. The aluminium alloy offers a balance of thermal conductivity and light weight for scale truck use.

Practical tuning note: fitting the finned plates can help stabilise gearbox temperature under continuous operation, which may reduce thermal-related performance change in motors and ESCs during long runs. This is a passive bolt-on upgrade that requires no wiring or electronic modification.

Compatible Models

  • Scania R620

Choose these alloy heat sink plates when you want a simple bolt-on option to improve gearbox heat dispersion on a Tamiya Tracktor Scania R620 while keeping standard maintenance routines unchanged.

Brilliant service and great quality of work and quick shipping
TRU018SC is intended to attach to the existing gearbox fixing points on the Scania R620 Tracktor, so no chassis modification should be required for correct mounting.
The plate provides passive gearbox cooling and does not connect to electronics, so it should not interfere with motor or ESC sensors but may indirectly reduce thermal stress by lowering gearbox heat transfer to adjacent parts.
The aluminium alloy is chosen for a mix of strength and weight; treat exposed fins carefully during handling and check fasteners after initial runs to confirm secure fitment.
It is designed to fit without altering internal gear alignment, but always recheck gear mesh after fitting and during routine maintenance to ensure correct clearance.
