Reinforced main gear for TL-01 drivetrains

This aftermarket main gear is made from hardened steel #45 and supplied as 1pc for direct replacement in Tamiya TL-01 scale RC cars. The dual-count tooth set is 34T on the larger face and 24T on the smaller face, tailored to fit TL-01 gearbox arrangements.

In use the gear transfers motor torque through the gearbox into the drivetrain; check the motor pinion and all bearings for wear before fitting to avoid accelerated wear. Correct axial alignment and gear mesh are important for quiet operation and long service life.

Fitting notes: open the gearbox, move over any shims or spacers from the old unit, slide the new gear onto the shaft in the right orientation, then reassemble and check backlash and smooth rotation under load. No extra parts are required beyond common TL-01 maintenance items.

Confirm your chassis uses a 34T/24T main gear arrangement; if so this STL14234T unit fits as a direct aftermarket replacement for standard TL-01 gearboxes.
Keep the gearbox clean, inspect for burrs or chips after heavy runs, and ensure proper lubrication on bearings; hardened steel resists wear but relies on correct setup to last.
Seat the motor, close the gearbox, use a thin paper or feeler to set a slight clearance then rotate the drivetrain several turns to check for binding before final tightening.
