Precision rear aluminium hub in gun metal

This aluminium rear hub is supplied as a direct replacement for the TAMIYA Thunder Shot, Thunder Dragon, Fire Dragon and Terra Scorcher buggies. Machined in a gun metal finish, it replaces the stock rear hub to increase part durability and to keep rear geometry consistent for hobby and track use.

Function and fit: the hub acts as the wheel carrier interface at the rear axle, securing the wheel hex and helping to preserve axle alignment. As a metal part it reduces the compliance found in plastic hubs and can help the suspension maintain geometry under load.

Installation guidance: the hub is intended to drop into the original rear location using the factory hub hardware and wheel hex arrangement from the listed TAMIYA models. Inspect fit before final torqueing, confirm hex engagement and clearances with brake and drive parts, and apply thread locker where you want semi-permanent fastening.

Tuning notes: many builders fit an aluminium rear hub to cut flex at the wheel mount and gain repeatable alignment when setting toe, camber or rear track. Handling changes depend on the whole chassis setup including shocks, tyres and drivetrain condition.

It is made to replace the stock hub using the original mounting arrangement; you should be able to fit it without trimming or machining. Always check clearances before final assembly.
No extra hardware is expected; the part is designed to use the existing hub bolts and wheel hex from the listed TAMIYA buggies. Replace any worn fasteners as needed.
Check hex engagement, use a small amount of medium-strength thread locker on the mounting screws if you prefer a secure fit, and recheck torque regularly during the first runs.
