Designed for 1/10-scale Tamiya Thunder Shot and Thunder Dragon buggies, this CNC aluminum rear shock tower carries model JR-TSD02-BK. It replaces the stock plastic tower to provide a firmer mount for the rear shocks and related linkage.
Fit and installation: the tower is made to use the original chassis screw locations and shock mounting holes. Confirm hole alignment during fitting and reuse the factory hardware where possible to preserve ride geometry. Small adjustments to shock length or mounting position may be required to restore the original ride height and camber.
Tuning role: fitting an aluminum tower reduces flex at the shock mount, which changes suspension feedback and often improves consistency on rough surfaces. Use this part when testing spring rates, shock oil viscosities, or camber link positions to evaluate how a stiffer mount affects handling. Expect to make additional setup changes to balance the car after installation.
