Aluminium spur gear holder for TB-04 chassis

This aluminium spur gear holder is supplied as one set and is produced by GPM for fitment on the TAMIYA TB-04 chassis. It replaces the stock retaining elements to position and secure the spur gear inside the TB-04 gearbox area, helping to keep gear mesh consistent during routine running and when you make setup changes.

As an aftermarket aluminium component, the holder gives a stable mounting surface between the spur gear and the gearbox supports. In practical tuning it helps hold mesh and backlash settings steady when you swap spur gears or adjust drive components, reducing repeat alignment work during short maintenance sessions.

Fitting is straightforward for anyone experienced with TB-04 service: remove the original spur retention parts, install the aluminium holder in place of the stock piece, check spur-to-pinion mesh and axial clearance, then reassemble the gearbox. This part is intended for RC-scale TB-04 use only and should be trial-fitted before final assembly.

This holder is designed for the TB-04 platform; other kits may differ in gearbox layout so confirm dimensions before assuming compatibility.
Aluminium reduces flex compared to some plastics, giving a firmer seating for the spur and helping the mesh remain stable under braking and acceleration.
After fitting confirm spur-to-pinion mesh, check axial play and ensure bearings and shafts sit square in their supports before final gearbox closure.
