This is an RC-scale swing shaft designed for Tamiya TA05-IFS users, supplied as the TA05-IF02/V2 heavy duty option. It replaces worn components in the drivetrain link between gearbox output and suspension pivot to maintain alignment and rotational stability under load.
Compatibility targets TA05-IFS layouts; check your chassis version and confirm the original swing shaft arrangement before fitting. This item is intended for model use only and is not suitable for any full-size vehicle applications.
Installation notes: remove the affected drivetrain linkages and inspect mating bearings and pins for wear, slide the swing shaft into position following the chassis orientation, and verify free rotation and clearance through full suspension travel. After installation, run a controlled lap to confirm there is no binding and to detect any unusual noise that could indicate bearing or fitment issues.
Tuning role: a heavy duty swing shaft reduces pivot flex under higher torque and sustained running, helping to stabilise drivetrain response for track setups. Fit it as part of a broader drivetrain refresh when replacing worn components or when targeting more predictable power delivery during fine-tuning.
