The JR-TA200-GU unit is an aluminium main drive shaft with joint engineered for the TAMIYA TA-02 RC chassis. It uses a gun-metal finish and is intended to replace the stock shaft to improve rotational stiffness and maintain power transfer along the car centreline.
Fit this part to address wear or flex in the original shaft, or when switching to a metal option to increase drivetrain rigidity. During installation check joint seating, shaft straightness, and inspect bearings and gearbox interfaces to ensure smooth rotation before the first run.
In tuning terms, a stiffer aluminium shaft alters drivetrain feel under acceleration and on corner exit; these changes can interact with suspension and differential settings, so re-check the basic setup after fitting.
