Stiff aluminium lower gearbox for Tamiya TA-series

This aluminium front gear box bottom replaces the original lower housing used on Tamiya TA01, TA02 and DF01 chassis versions, providing a direct-fit spare for routine maintenance and setup. As the lower half of the front gearbox assembly, the unit gives a firmer mount for the spur and pinion, helping to stabilise gear mesh under track or club use.

Installation follows familiar TA-series steps: remove the front gearbox cover screws, separate the gearbox halves, move internal gears and bearings as needed, then secure the aluminium lower with the original fasteners. Keep existing ball bearings and seals unless you intend to renew them, and recheck gear mesh after assembly to prevent premature wear.

Fit this part when replacing a cracked plastic lower case, preparing a spare for support at events, or when seeking a more rigid base to fine-tune gear backlash and drivetrain alignment on TA01/TA02/DF01 based cars. This component is for RC-scale use only.

This shop never failed to impress me.You can be assured of fast and quality service every single time.
Yes. The part is dimensioned to use the same screw points and layout as the stock TA01, TA02 and DF01 front lower housing.
No special hardware is required. Reuse original bearings and fasteners unless they show wear or damage, then replace as appropriate.
Aluminium gives a firmer mounting surface which can reduce flex and help stabilise mesh; always set correct backlash and inspect gears after fitting to control noise and wear.
