The JR-TA105-GU is an aluminum rear shock tower made for 1/10 scale RC cars that use the Tamiya TA01 or TA02 rear mounting layout. The gun metal finish helps resist corrosion while keeping a discreet, low-profile appearance on the rear bulkhead area.
This replacement tower is manufactured as an aftermarket accessory to match the TA01 and TA02 rear mounting pattern, allowing it to install in the same position as the original plastic tower. It provides a firmer mounting point for shocks and helps maintain alignment under load compared with the stock plastic component.
Installation notes: remove the rear bodywork and the original tower, transfer any existing hardware where possible, and install the tower ensuring shock absorbers and linkage clearances remain correct. After fitting, check shock travel and wheel alignment before running to confirm the geometry meets your setup targets.
Tuning role: fitting an aluminum tower reduces flex at the rear mounting points, giving a more stable base when altering shock locations or adjusting roll stiffness and damping balance. It is intended to support incremental setup changes rather than to radically change chassis behavior.
