Ringless 17mm aluminum ball race roller M4WD-31/LB for Tamiya Mini 4WD

This M4WD-31/LB roller from 3Racing is a 17mm aluminum ball-type spare made for 1/32 Tamiya Mini 4WD models. The ringless layout and light-blue anodized finish produce a slim outer profile suited to display builds or direct replacement duties.

The roller body is machined aluminum housing internal ball elements that lower rotational friction compared with plain plastic rollers. Removing the external retaining ring reduces the outer diameter and changes how the part sits against guard plates and stabiliser posts. Check post diameter and any mounting hardware before swapping to ensure correct fit.

Primary compatibility covers Mini 4WD racing chassis that accept 17mm rollers; common fit checks are shaft or post diameter, spacer thickness, and clearance to stabiliser plates. This description does not extend to Wild Mini 4WD or Scale Mini 4WD series, which use different geometry and are outside the intended tuning scope.

Maintenance tips: keep the roller free of grit and apply a light bearing-safe oil to the internal balls as required. The anodized light-blue finish is cosmetic and will show wear with repeated abrasion or aggressive solvents. When installing, confirm spacers and screws do not compress the ball assembly.

This fits frames designed for 17mm rollers. Verify your chassis accepts a 17mm diameter roller and check the post or shaft size before fitting to MA, MS, AR, FM-A, VS or Super-II based builds.
Ringless means no external retaining flange, which reduces overall width but may require spacers or collars to stop lateral movement where stabiliser plates are shallow. Check guard clearances on both sides.
Use a small amount of bearing-safe oil or light synthetic lubricant designed for small ball assemblies. Apply sparingly and avoid heavy greases that attract dust.
Anodizing is mainly cosmetic; it resists normal handling but will fade or scuff with repeated contact, abrasive cleaning or solvent exposure.
This roller is intended for standard Mini 4WD setups. Wild and Scale variants have different geometry and are not recommended targets for this part.
