This aluminium 23T hi-torque servo saver with a steel tie rod is an RC-scale steering upgrade made for the TAMIYA M1025 Hummer platform. It replaces the stock servo saver to give a stiffer, more wear-resistant connection between the servo output and the steering linkage while still allowing controlled shock absorption to protect the servo geartrain.
In use, the assembly transmits steering commands while isolating sharp impact loads. The aluminium body cuts flex compared with standard plastic parts, and the steel tie rod keeps linkage geometry predictable under load. That combination is especially useful when fitting higher-torque servos or when you prefer a firmer, more direct steering feel without passing every shock into the servo.
Fitment is straightforward on a prepared TAMIYA M1025 steering setup, using the existing mounting points and hardware. Double-check spline engagement and centre the steering before final tightening. During setup, confirm end points and adjust any servo-saver bias to balance protection and precision. Run a bench check to ensure smooth travel and no binding in the linkage.
