Machined aluminium knuckle for firmer steering

This machined aluminium front knuckle is an aftermarket hop-up created for the TAMIYA M1025 Hummer scale RC, supplied as part number GPM HM1021. It replaces the stock plastic knuckle to provide a firmer mounting point for the steering linkage and reduce flex during trail use.

Fitment covers the TAMIYA M1025 Hummer platform and the TA-01 and TA-02 chassis variants listed in the specifications below. Installing the part requires removing the original knuckle and disassembling the front suspension and steering linkage, then refitting with the vehicle's existing hardware. Take care with thread engagement and torque to protect aluminium threads and mating components.

Use this knuckle when testing steering feel, adjusting scrub radius, or upgrading from plastic to metal for longevity under frequent running. This is a structural replacement only and does not alter electronic settings or motor and ESC configuration.

Specifications

  • Item: Tamiya M1025 Hummer Aluminium Front Knuckle Arm
  • Material: Aluminium
  • Model Number: GPM HM1021
  • Compatibility: TA-01 / TA-02
Check that your vehicle uses the TA-01 or TA-02 chassis codes shown in the specifications; the knuckle is designed for those variants of the TAMIYA M1025 Hummer.
The part is intended to use the vehicle's existing screws and pins. Inspect fasteners for wear and replace any damaged items before assembly.
The knuckle is a like-for-like structural swap; it is not designed to change mounting locations, but small machining tolerances can influence steering feel so check alignment after installation.
Regularly check fastener tightness, clean mating surfaces, and inspect wheel bearings and pins to prevent premature wear when running the metal knuckle.
