This machined aluminum rear hub carrier is a direct replacement for the TAMIYA M-07 chassis and is finished in gun metal. It swaps in for the original plastic carrier to provide a firmer mounting point for the rear suspension and wheel hub assembly, which can influence rear suspension geometry and handling on scale touring cars.
Fitting the carrier requires basic rear suspension disassembly, removal of the original carrier, and transfer of wheel hub parts and bearings into the new unit. Check alignment of the wheel hub and drive components before final tightening. Use standard small hex drivers and take care with thread engagement and bearing seating; avoid overtightening fasteners to prevent bearing preload problems.
As a tuning change, installing an aluminum carrier increases rear-end rigidity compared with plastic, which may change rear traction and steering response. Use this component alongside tyre, damper, and toe adjustments so you can evaluate handling differences in steps.
