Light blue aluminium damper upgrade for Tamiya M03/M04

This aluminium damper set replaces the standard shock bodies on 1/10 scale Tamiya M03 and M04 touring car chassis. Machined, anodized light blue bodies provide a durable metal alternative to the factory plastic dampers while keeping the external dimensions compatible with routine track use and setup work.

The parts are engineered to mate with the existing shock mounts, ball ends, and spring retainers on M03, M03M, M03L, M04L, and M04M chassis so bodywork or suspension geometry should not need altering. Fitment follows the usual shock swap steps: remove the stock dampers, move springs and any compatible internal hardware across, then secure the aluminium units with the original screws and shock pins.

Tuning notes: these aluminium bodies give a stiffer housing and consistent external dimensions, which can influence heat transfer and mounting stability. Continue to select oil viscosity, spring rates, preload and ride height as you normally would; the damper housings do not mandate different oil grades but help make setup changes more repeatable. Maintain shocks using common practices: check seals, clean shafts, inspect pistons, and ensure spring collars are properly engaged.
