Kawasaki Z1300 Inline-6 Engine Recreated in 1/6 Scale

The Kawasaki Z1300, introduced in 1979, used a 1,286cc liquid-cooled inline-6 DOHC powerplant that delivered around 120hp, reached about 220 km/h and completed 0-400m in roughly 12 seconds. Praised for its balance and engineering, the Z1300 is captured here as a highly detailed 1/6 scale model by Tamiya 16023 for modellers wanting to study its mechanical layout.

Model Kit Highlights

This Tamiya kit carefully reproduces the Z1300 engine with authentic elements such as the radiator, air cleaner and drive shaft. Assembly covers small bolts up to major parts like the cylinder head cover and triple carburetors. Parts are supplied molded in black plastic, with chrome and matte plated pieces to boost realism, plus a mesh stone guard and a synthetic rubber shaft boot. The completed engine is designed for display and secures to the included stand which carries a specification sticker.
