Aluminum front upright for classic TAMIYA buggies

This aluminum front upright is an RC-scale replacement designed for TAMIYA Hotshot, Bigwig and Boomerang chassis. Machined from metal and finished in gun metal, the upright swaps in for the stock plastic piece to give a firmer steering linkage mounting point and a more durable steering pivot under track use.

The part accepts a 5mm long ball connector to match common Tamiya linkage hardware, and its role in the front suspension is purely to hold steering links and wheel hubs in the correct geometry. Use it when you want a more rigid steering mount, reduced flex at the upright, or when refurbishing an older chassis with worn plastic parts.

Installation notes: this is an RC accessory intended to replace the chassis-specific front upright. Remove the stock upright, transfer wheel hub and bearings as required, fit the ball connector to your existing linkage, and verify steering travel and toe settings after reassembly. No special tools beyond standard hex drivers and common RC maintenance tools are required.

Compatibility is limited to the listed TAMIYA models named in the product title, and this item is intended for 1/10-scale RC buggy and vintage Tamiya setups where those uprights are used.

Yes. It is made as a direct replacement for the front upright on Hotshot, Bigwig and Boomerang models; you should transfer your existing wheel hub and bearings as needed during the swap.
The upright is specified to accept a 5mm long ball connector and is finished to fit common Tamiya linkage hardware; check the product listing for whether the connector is provided or sold separately.
Aluminum reduces upright flex, producing a firmer steering feel. After fitting, recheck toe and steering end-points and make small trim adjustments to restore your preferred on-center behavior.
