Tamiya Hotshot Series Aluminum Front Upper Arms

This RC-scale replacement set fits the Tamiya Hotshot family, offering anodized aluminium construction finished in black to cut down flex versus stock plastic arms and deliver firmer steering feel for club racers and weekend tuners.

Installation uses the stock mounting points and typically accepts the original hardware, allowing a straightforward bolt-in swap on Hotshot, Hotshot II/2, Super Hotshot and Boomerang 4WD front assemblies. After fitting, check camber and steering-link geometry to retain the intended handling balance.

Tuning note: swapping plastic upper arms for aluminium increases front-end stiffness, which usually tightens turn-in and improves consistency on hard landings; adjust shock rates and roll-center settings instead of changing multiple parts at once.

Specifications

  • Item: Front upper suspension arms
  • Material: Anodized aluminium
  • Model Number: JR-THS04-BK
  • Compatibility: Tamiya Hotshot, Hotshot II/2, Super Hotshot, Boomerang 4WD

A direct aluminium upgrade that improves front-end rigidity and steering precision for Hotshot-series rigs aimed at consistent handling.

They are machined to match the stock front mounting points on Hotshot, Hotshot II/2, Super Hotshot and Boomerang 4WD; during installation check hole alignment and trial-fit before fully tightening.
Most builds reuse the original screws and bearings but inspect fasteners for wear and replace any that are rounded or stripped as part of routine maintenance.
Aluminium lowers flex at the front axle, tightening turn-in and stabilizing steering under load; tune shocks and camber to dial in balance after the swap.
Keep the arms free of grit, inspect for burrs after impacts and avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the anodized surface and prevent corrosion.
