This set includes a pair of steel gear box joints designed for RC-scale Tamiya 4WD models, supplied as 2 pcs per set. They are intended as direct-fit replacements for common gearbox link points on Hotshot, Hotshot II, Super Hotshot, Bigwig and Boomerang 4WD chassis and focus on increasing drivetrain durability where stock couplers tend to wear.
Use these parts for routine maintenance or as a light drivetrain upgrade: replace worn plastic couplers when you detect play or slop in the gearbox, or when preparing a model for frequent trail or off-road running. The hardened steel construction delivers longer life for the gearbox area while retaining the original mounting interfaces to preserve geometry and handling.
Installation overview: remove the gearbox cover and the worn coupler, fit the steel joint into the original seating, verify gear mesh and clearance, then reassemble the gearbox. After fitting, rotate the drivetrain and make small gear mesh adjustments if needed. These joints are intended for model repairs and tuning and do not alter suspension or motor mounting geometry.
