This 23-tooth aluminium servo saver is built as an aftermarket replacement for the Tamiya GF-01 chassis. The metal-bodied saver sits between the servo horn and steering linkage, keeping the standard 23T spline so it mates with compatible servos while replacing the weaker plastic assembly.
Fitting is straightforward for anyone used to basic steering work: remove the existing saver, slide the 23T spline onto the servo output and secure the servo horn to the saver. The included aluminium tie rod fits between the saver and the steering knuckles; adjust its length to match stock geometry and verify there is no binding across full lock.
As an aluminium upgrade this part reduces flex for a firmer mechanical link between servo and steering, which can sharpen steering feedback and repeatability on both trail and track GF-01 builds. Note that aluminium gives less built-in shock absorption, so confirm spline compatibility and servo travel before final installation.
