GB-01T front shock tower upgrade

The GB-T27/LB is a light-blue aluminium replacement front shock tower made for Tamiya GB-01T use. It fits as a direct hop-up for GB-01 and GB-02 chassis, replacing the stock plastic tower to give a more rigid mount for the front shock units and attachment points.

In practice this tower centralises front shock mount locations and helps keep suspension geometry stable when you move shock positions during setup. The aluminium construction cuts down flex compared with standard plastic parts and gives a firmer platform for adjusting ride height, spring rates, and shock angles without altering other suspension components.

Fitting is simple on standard GB-01/GB-02 layouts: remove the factory tower, line up the replacement with the existing mounting holes, and fasten using the chassis hardware where applicable. No chassis cutting is required for standard GB-01T installations, but double-check hole alignment before final torque.

Specifications

  • Item Tamiya GB-01T Aluminium Front Shock Tower Light Blue
  • Material Aluminium
  • Model Number GB-T27/LB
  • Compatibility GB-01 / GB-02

Use this tower when you want a stiffer front mounting point to isolate suspension tuning to shocks and link geometry on GB-01/GB-02 based models.

Yes, the GB-T27/LB is designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard GB-01 and GB-02 front towers using the existing mounting points.
The colour is a cosmetic anodised finish; the aluminium material provides the mechanical benefit of reduced flex.
No special fasteners are normally required. Use the chassis original hardware where it lines up, and replace any worn screws if necessary.
The tower itself keeps mounting geometry consistent; any ride height or alignment changes result from shock position or spring adjustments rather than the tower alone.
