The JR-TFD07-LB rear shock tower is an RC-scale replacement designed specifically for TAMIYA Fire Dragon and Terra Scorcher models. It provides a direct-fit aluminum mounting point for the rear shocks to increase chassis rigidity and create a firmer platform for suspension setup adjustments during track tuning.
Designed to supersede the stock plastic tower, this aluminum unit interfaces with the existing shock shafts and mounting hardware. Typical installation requires removing the body and rear shocks, transferring spacers and hardware, then securing the tower to the rear bulkhead using the original mounting screws. No special tools or extra parts are normally required beyond common RC workshop items.
When tuning, the stiffer mount reduces flex at the shock anchor area, helping rebound and compression behavior remain more consistent under load. It is suited to hobbyists who fine-tune shock positions, spring rates, and damping on 1/10 electric buggy setups to refine handling.
